Big Storm was a Bust

Lutz, Florida

South Florida got hit pretty hard from the storm yesterday,  and I believe there were actually a few tornados.

Fortunately, the severe weather stayed south of us and we barely even got any rain.    The radar looked pretty ominous yesterday, and I was a bit nervous.

There is a cold front coming bringing us some cool temps and lower  humidity.  We can’t wait.  It’s going to be perfect camping weather.  Temps here are going to be in the mid 70’s in the day, and upper 40’s and low 50’s at night.   brrrrr….   Of course we’re heading north, so it’ll be even cooler.  We’re heading north to get our winter clothes from our storage shed!

We paid for two more nights here and with any luck we can leave on Friday.  More than likely it won’t be until Saturday or Sunday, so we’re playing it by ear for now.   I think we’re both getting a case of hitch-itch.

  1. So happy to hear that the storm passed you by. That is definitely a good thing. Hopefully you're moving south as soon as you get your coats.

  2. Glad the storm didn't effect ya'll. We got the canadian cold front - what a difference! I guess after enduring all those triple digit days, I got too used to the heat (but never the humidity, will never adjust to that). It was 62 in the RV last night, so I used my electric blanket, can we say wuss?
;-) electric blankets are the BEST! heehee If you don't have one, pick one up on the way back to Ga!

  3. We have rode out 2 hard storms here...one that took down a large tree out front and severed our electricity. The trailer barely moved...the rain wasn't loud at all..This gave me great comfort to know how sound proof it was and how sturdy it was!!! Being in these during storms is a little tricky!!

Glad y'all are fine! Your kitten and the escapades just crack me up!!

    Hugs Cindy

  4. Glad you weren't in the center of the storm. I get nervous, too, not of the rain but of high winds, especially when I'm close to trees. I like the feeling of the rocking, like in a boat, but if it's too much, then I worry.

Our motor homes have more weight than a travel trailer. I would worry more in a trailer, I think.

Yes, I can say WUSS and to prove it, we have 2 electric blankets and 2 heating pads! One for us and one for the kitties!

  6. Obviously, Mr. Murphy isn't living in your exact neck of the woods. Hmmm? I wonder where he is?

  8. We didn't get the storm either - thank goodness. Glad it missed you too. The weather sure is a little cooler now - nice change.

We love our Allure floor - what did you use to clean yours?
