Happy Thanksgiving

We normally go to Tampa to spend Thanksgiving with my Mom and brother.  This year, we decided to stay home.  We're leaving for Tampa in two weeks anyway, so we decided we'd better stay home and try to get things done around here.

We got some interesting news from our Realtor a few days ago.  Apparently the young woman who came to look at the house is interested.  Supposedly they are going to make an offer on Tuesday.  I have no idea why Tuesday is the day, or what's going on.   I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.  It could very easily be a lowball offer, or they could make us a good offer and want us to be out before Christmas!  A part of me wants everything to be put on hold so that it doesn't mess up our winter plans.  A contract in March would be about perfect!

Our run of beautiful weather has continued, but unfortunately some humidity has returned.  I think it's about over though and we'll be getting a little cooler in a few days.

Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. Happy Thanksgiving to you guys.

Its 19 degrees here in KC right now..

  2. Have a good day, Karen, just the two of you. That can be nice too. Good luck on the offer. I went through this last year, always trying to figure out how a sale date could fit in with moving plans. I sure didn't want to move in the snow! Turned out fine, in spite of all my worry, and I bet yours does too.

  3. Hope you get a good offer on the house. If we could get any offer, we could be out in 2 weeks. Heck, we just wish we could get somebody to look at it.

Wish you the best and Happy Thanksgiving!

  4. Happy Thanksgiving. Hope you have a great day and enjoy your dinner.

Hope everything goes well with the house, our fingers are crossed for you.

    Kevin and Ruth

  5. Our experience with selling the house sounds a little like yours. we had the perfect schedule in mind for when it should happen.

Of course that did not occur, and in fact we had given up on it selling and we put a new roof on before we left for the winter. Of course, that is when it finally sold. We are still glad it is gone, no matter the timing.

    Have a great holiday.

  6. Happy Thanksgiving, Karen!

I have my fingers crossed for ya - sending good luck wishes for selling your property and moving on to fulfill your dreams!

  7. Happy Thanksgiving!! Good luck on the house offer next week!

  8. We bought a house at this time of year in Wisconsin. It was fun to move in and have Christmas in our new home. Stressful because our other house was not sold, but fun too.

I think if we were in your shoes we would delay the winter trip if it meant getting the house sold. After all you will be on a forever trip after that.

  9. Hope the offer works out for you. When ours sold we only had 30 days to get moved out. We did it and I think it was the push we needed to get everything done. Have a great Thanksgiving.

  10. Happy Thanksgiving to you all! Good luck with the house....hope it all goes your way. See ya on the road soon!
