Sweetwater Rv Park,
Zephyrhills, Florida
Yesterday, we drove to Lakeland, Florida to meet with about 30 other rv people that are wintering or living in this area.
It was a good time and we got to put some faces to some of the people we know from their blogs. I will post some pictures later, but for now we are heading to a Rv rally in Brooksville, Florida.
I just wanted to post the link real quick before we leave in case some of you might like to go to the Rally.
The address is: 16371 Runway Drive, Brooksville, Florida. Brooksville is north of Tampa.
There are quite a few seminars and it looks to be pretty informative. We had been wanting to go to Mac’s Fire Safety Seminar and when we found out he would be there, we decided it would be a good time to see him.
The cost is $7 per day (per person, I assume) or $20 for a 3 day pass.
The Southeast Family Motor Coach Association puts it on. You don’t have to be a member or own a motor home to go.
Here is a list of the activities for tomorrow, Wednesday. The schedule is posted on their website. I didn’t post the schedule for the other days, this is just an example.

Gotta go – time’s a wasting!
In George Washington's days, there were no cameras. One's image was either sculpted or painted. Some paintings of George Washington showed him standing behind a desk with one arm behind his back while others showed both legs and both arms. Prices charged by painters were not based on how many people were to be painted, but by how many limbs were to be painted. Arms and legs are 'limbs,' therefore painting them would cost the buyer more. Hence the expression, 'Okay, but it'll cost you an arm and a leg.' (Artists know hands and arms are more difficult to paint)
Thank you so much for telling all of us about this rally. we plan on going on Wednesday. There are some great seminars.
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the rally. Went a few years ago. It was interesting camping on a runway. Unfortunately, that year the weather was really bad with temps down into the teens, as I recall. It was tough on the vendors and all outdoor activities. I think you will be a lot warmer this year.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rally, we have always learned a few new things when we attend.
ReplyDeleteWe have worked the FMCA rally for years and this is the first time we haven't gone... We did day parking with our FMCA group! It was sure a pleasure meeting you guys yesterday and hope we can meet up again...
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the Rally & Travel safe
Donna
Hope you learn lots of great stuff at the rally!
ReplyDeleteWow what a lot of good sounding programs! I'm going to look up FMCA and find out if they ever have any rallies in the west. I'd sure like to go to one BEFORE we start the life!
ReplyDeleteI did. Looked them up, there may be a Rally in our next year. We could always rent an RV!
ReplyDeleteWe have attended and worked the rally (photographer and newsletter editor) in years past but this year will be day visitors only on Thursday driving down from Crystal River to check out the vendors. Enjoyed meeting you at the luncheon-have fun in Brooksville.
