Shopping is Done

Zephyrhills, Florida

Well, we finally got our shopping done.  Mom was a challenge this year…more than usual.  We ended up getting her an orchid, a potted amaryllis bulb, some food items and a few books.  She also found a little chest that she had been wanting, so we got it for her.  We may be late…but the gifts are wrapped, loaded into the car and ready to go!

Our Christmas tradition is to open presents on Christmas Eve, and then Mom makes home made pizza.  Nobody can make pizza like hers!

Baxter may get to go and help us open presents.  We thought he might enjoy tearing around the rubble.  Mom is a little concerned about her tree, but I think he’ll be too intimidated to do much damage.  We’ll see!  After all, Christmas is for kitties!

Al was trying to watch the Buc’s game in between loading the car and packing the motor home, but evidently they were doing so badly, that he went outside.

We’re having another above average day.  It’s  over 80 degrees….and the a/c  is running.   The forecast is for a cold front to hit this area around the 3rd of January.  We’re hoping it won’t get all the way down into the Keys.  We will be as far south in the United States as you can get…so if it’s not warm there, it’s not likely to be warm anywhere!

Our friends Dean and Shirley, that we met at this campground last winter, got themselves a new home.  Check out their blog and see what they got for Christmas!

Merry Christmas friends!  Be safe!
