Blairsville, Georgia (high 78, low 56)
We haven’t even closed on our new RV lot yet, and we already have it rented. We were on a golf cart ride Monday night, when a man in a big diesel truck stopped us and asked us if we knew of any RV lots for rent. Why yes, we do as a matter of fact!
We don’t close on the lot until Friday, but I was pretty sure Phyllis, the current owner wouldn’t turn down a few extra bucks. I checked with her, we came up with a rental price of $25 a night, and he arrived yesterday morning. We got 5 nights rental, 3 for Phyllis and 2 for us, but if his family likes it, he might rent the sight through November, and then again for the month of April. Now, we just have to figure out a monthly rate and how to handle the electricity. We plan on renting this lot out as much as we can, so we think we’re getting off to a good start. It should be easy this month because people come here from all over for the fall leaf peeping season.
The month of October brings a lot of tourists up to the mountains of Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. There are a lot of festivals coming up in the next few weeks. Blairsville has the Sorghum Festival, which is supposed to be one of the best ones. They have local artists and crafters, food, music, and parades.
We had visitors from Tampa yesterday. Stephanie and Barry are here from Tampa, for a short vacation. They are staying in North Carolina and came to spend the afternoon with us. They are considering purchasing a RV site, so we took them around our park and the sister park next door.
They found a few lots they liked, including a half acre river lot in Rivers Edge II. What a pretty lot that was with lots of trees and a beautiful river view. Come on Stephanie and Barry…buy that lot and we’ll “take care of it” for you.
Today, we’re going to play tourist. We haven’t decided exactly where to go yet. There are so many interesting places to go, it’s hard to decide.
Maybe a waterfall?
tubing?
hiking?
stay tuned
You sure were in the right place at the right time when the guy wanted to rent a lot. Good for you. Have a great day no matter what you decide to do.
ReplyDeleteThat RV park looks like such a nice place. I hope we can take advantage of your rental lot someday :)
ReplyDeleteThat's cool, rented already. Maybe you'll become the Donald Trump of the RV rental market. ;c)
ReplyDeleteMakes good business sense to me. Congrats.
