Spring Visit from Mom

My Mother came up from Tampa for a visit.  She likes to come during the spring blooming season.  Tampa doesn’t have the Dogwoods, Azaleas, and Wisteria like we do here.

Yesterday we took her to Ochlockonee River State Park to see the white squirrels. We had a little trouble finding any.  I think we arrived at siesta time, but finally after a lot of looking, we found this cute guy.

He posed for us for quite a while.

The campground wasn’t very full, but it was Friday afternoon.  The campers were starting to arrive. I’m sure it will be full this week-end.
If anyone is interested in this camp ground, I have more information Here   and here.  It’s not our favorite campground because the kayaking on the Ochlockonee River is not great, in our opinion.  The Sopchoppy River is nearby and looks like it would be a nice river to kayak, but we’ve not done that yet.
We stay at Ochlockonee sometimes when we can’t get reservations elsewhere.
Mom has been sleeping in the motorhome and she loves our new “Bed in a Box” memory foam mattress.  She wants to get  one too!
The motor home makes a perfect guest house.
Being at the campground yesterday, sure made me want to go camping.  The weather has been perfect, mid 80’s , sunny and in the 50’s at night.  Perfect camping weather!

The RV Sofa Sold

A couple picked up the sofabed this morning.  They are putting it in their fifth wheel that they keep at a lake in Tallahassee.  We may have underpriced it, but at least it's sold and out the door!

We spent the day picking up my Mother. She lives in Tampa and is here for a few days to visit and see the spring blooms.  My brother drove her half way, and we met them at Fanning Springs Park.  It is right by the Suwanee River and boy were there a lot of people kayaking the river today.

Mom wants to see the white squirrels of Ochlockonee River State Park, so we may head there tomorrow.
