We ran errands yesterday. I bought some decorative candles and a new shower curtain for the main bathroom. Gotta make everything look pretty to sell.
We also got a load of rocks for the area by the mailbox. Al is working on the area putting in new mulch and rocks. There are some railroad ties there and he’s re-doing it all. Our mailbox is over a tenth of a mile from the house. You turn into the driveway and go down a little road through the woods before you can even see the house.
The mailbox and main entrance to the house is the first and only impression people get unless they trespass and enter our property. It’s very important that this area makes a good impression.
Al worked until dark on the rocks. He hopes to get another load of mulch today, and hopefully finish the area.
It’s kind of discouraging. We seem to keep finding projects that need doing and one thing leads to another. Oh well, I guess we’ll get there!
Today we got up to 65 degree temperature! That’s the coolest evening we’ve had in a while. Unfortunately the clouds are gone and it’s getting warmer during the day. Hurricane Earl is sucking some of the humidity out our air so it doesn’t feel so bad.
I think the hardest part about getting the house ready to sell is that when your ready it will look so good you'll wonder why you didn't do those things earlier so you could enjoy them. Sounds like things are really shaping up for you.
